Romantic, feminine and created for women who never outgrew the joy of dressing up, Bambi The Label is an Australian fashion label inspired by fairytales, folklore and all things fantasy.
Known for whimsical designs, intricate details and beautiful fabrics, each piece is created to feel imaginative, special and unlike anything else in your wardrobe.
But beauty is only half of the equation. Behind every ruffle, corseted waist and delicate detail is an obsessive pursuit of the perfect fit, because extraordinary design means nothing without a fit that makes you feel extraordinary wearing it.
Handmade in Australia by a small team of women, Bambi remains committed to thoughtful production, quality craftsmanship, and creating pieces made to be treasured.

From first sketch to final stitch.
Beautiful things take time. Every Bambi piece moves through a slow and considered process of design, fitting, refinement and skilled craftsmanship before it becomes yours.
Dreamed
Your dress begins as an idea.
Inspiration is gathered, rough sketches are drawn and early concepts are sometimes shared with our community before anything is finalised. From there, the design is edited and refined until every fabric, detail and proportion feels unmistakably Bambi.
Refined
This is where your dress really begins to take shape.
Fit is one of the most important parts of the Bambi design process, and often where we spend the most time.
Your dress moves through repeated rounds of pattern making, toiles, fittings and samples with our local pattern makers. Each seam, curve and proportion is adjusted and refined until the silhouette feels flattering, balanced and true to the original design.
Once the first fit is approved, we continue refining the design across our size range. Bambi’s sister Tess plays an important role here as our curve fit advisor, bringing a curvier woman’s perspective to fittings and suggesting adjustments, styling options and design details that help different body shapes feel their best. We don’t assume that one solution will work equally well for every body.
Some designs spend months in this stage before we consider them ready to be made for you.
Handmade
Only once the fit is right does your dress make its way into the hands of one of our talented seamstresses.
From cutting the fabric to construction, finishing and the smallest decorative details, your garment is made by one skilled woman from beginning to end. It isn’t passed from station to station on a production line or pushed through an automated manufacturing process. It is made by skilled hands in a small studio, with the same maker responsible for every detail.
Bambi is made slowly, in small quantities, by talented women who are fairly paid for their craft. It takes longer. It costs more. But you can see that time in the details, the finish and the care that goes into every piece.
Some of our more intricate designs, like Rosetta, can take up to 15 hours of skilled labour to complete, from the first cut of fabric to the final finishing touches.
No production lines. No rushed manufacturing. Just skilled women, beautiful materials and the time it takes to make something properly.
Adored
And then, finally, your dress becomes yours.
After the sketches, fittings, pattern adjustments, cutting and hours of careful sewing, your Bambi piece is finished, checked, packed and sent on its way to you.
We make slowly and in small quantities because we want to create pieces you’ll reach for again, treasure between wears and keep as part of your wardrobe for years to come.

MEET BAMBI & HER MUM
The dreamer & the dressmaker.
Bambi The Label was founded in 2020 by Amber Larkham (nicknamed Bambi) alongside her best friend, muse and favourite person in the world: her mum.
Bambi first fell in love with fashion for the creativity of it — the colours, the fabrics and the freedom to express herself through what she wore. But after falling in love with beautiful dresses only to be disappointed by poor quality or an unflattering fit, she became determined to create pieces where the experience of wearing the dress lived up to the beauty of the design.
Luckily, dressmaking was already in the family. Bambi’s mum had been sewing since her early twenties, with decades of experience turning fabric into beautifully fitted garments. So with Bambi’s imagination and her mum’s ability to make almost anything, Bambi The Label was born.
